If recent Simu Liu interviews / articles are any indication, "Barbie" might be worth watching. I think you have to have your senses and awareness on point in finding messages or meanings in films (if they appear superficial on the surface). Of course - the main objective is to just enjoy and have fun in watching a film or movie. I'm definitely sold on the "inclusivity", which has been fundamentally lacking in the film industry (and in other industries as well) unfortunately. That is why we create our own.

I searched and scoured for any hidden Weird Al gems, which are not as known or there are no videos for it. Let me present to you "Rye Or The Kaiser" (I believe from the "In 3D" album - a parody of Survivor's "Eye Of The Tiger"):

I think my New Year's resolutions for next year should be more concrete and absolute - perhaps I'll list a few. For anyone, resolutions seem to be only a yearly routine thing to do. Usually never taken that seriously. Or we end up forgetting about it. Hopefully - I can stick to them for once. Also - "A Toast To Twilight" (The Twilight Zone marathon) is just around the corner.

Merry Christmas! (or Happy Christmas, and a Merry New Yeeeaaah ha-ha-ha). I'm glad we found a Santa Hat - it made the Christmas pictures taking worth it. It's been awhile since gift exchanging / opening presents - not since childhood. I reckon that nobody really likes holiday shopping - knowing that the recipient might hate the gift, it's usually "If I Have To, There's The Default / Automatic Gift Card To Send Or Nah - I Don't Think So" haha. I personally hate shopping even more - time consuming, boring (especially if you have ADHD), crowds, expenses, crowds, and did I mention crowds?

I have / had no idea who Yannis Pappas is / was, until John Stamos decided to tag along haha. It's "The Unknown Guy" + "The Full House Guy", having a podcast with the former "Naked Guy" and his ex "Abalone Lips" Guy, Gal, I can't tell.

I'm curious if any employee from the Edgar Allen Poe Museum decided to keep Jeremiah's "I Like Big Butts And I Cannot Lie" fine, lyrical verse disguised as a poem haha.

Let the warming / thawing begin - a new set of problems for some areas (flooding). But we'll take it over ice. I hope the extreme weather this week is over and done for this winter, but who knows. There's at least one per season it seems. Personally - I don't like air travel. But if I had to - I would be glad / relieved that a flight would be cancelled / delayed if there is a storm around. Any bozo airline or pilot risking / endangering lives going into storms should be fired on the spot or punished harshly.

I'm returning to Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 26 finally. The second and third movements were a doozy, and needed more time. And the piece's emotional impact - needed a break.

It's been a weather doozy for most of the country this week - we're ending it with ice, which is worse than snow. Even a thin layer of ice on roads or sidewalks can have you slippin' and slidin' faster than that shit-fer-brains burglar in "Home Alone 2" slippin' and slidin' on all that spilled paint or whatever that gel is hahaha. Falling on yer ass can be painful as a muthafucka. It's not worth the risk. Allow two days to thaw - unless the salters are doing their jobs. You would think, hopefully.

Apparently, I'll need to upgrade the modem. Fast Internet is awesome and necessary, but it appears I have an out-dated one. And after upgrading the wifi card, the internet connection issues / slowness started up again. The problem with "troubleshooting" is that it is too "troubling" to cover all bases, only to find out that it might have been a completely different answer / solution. Hell - there are no guarantees that this would work as well. But I'm out of options. But why is that my laptop is fine, but not the PC.

It has been a snowy, cold mess out there - we just need to survive this week. I wouldn't recommend driving until most of it is thawed - not until warmer temperatures arise. Or if Homer "Mr. Plow" Simpson can do the work of plows / salters that are not readily available haha. Let's just hope this is it (as far as arctic temps go) for this winter. What is more annoying or aggravating however - is trying to find that pair of winter socks that I mis-matched after laundry haha. Either I don't know how to fold socks, or I'm just too damn lazy. As a result, socks are all over the place in my drawer.

I haven't seen a "Goonies" reunion in awhile, but it's nice to see at least two coming together for Ke Huy Quan's win at the "Unforgettable" gala.

Daniel Dae Kim's production company working with the Sundance Film Festival. That's a relief, and it's about damn time.

I'll be saving Mendelssohn's "Rondo Capprioso" for next year it appears.

Only Maestro Lang Lang and the VGP can turn the ordinary into extraordinary - whether it's a Christmas piece / song, Disney song / melody, or other pieces in a different genre. Music goes beyond just one genre. If you can play multiple genres well, that's a complete musician or pianist.

Anyone who hates shopping (especially Christmas shopping) is going to try to find excuses to cop out of it. So it's like - "Sure - I Can Do It After Christmas. It's Still Technically The Holidays. I Can Do It After New Year's. It's Still The Holidays, etc." hahaha.

My favorite "Christmas Vacation" scene - the flirtation scene with the Lingerie Lady at a department store, and the mishaps of words hahaha.
